Sudden acute pain can be really painful and exhausting but it might not be a sign for constant problems. Most common causes for acute back pain are chronic, long lasting troubles, for example bad posture or abdominal muscle weakness. The latter can cause increased pressure and burdening of the spine and back muscles which eventually can lead to back injuries.


Acute back pain can also be caused by degenerative diseases, like osteoarthritis and osteoporosis. In these cases pain can usually be gone after a day or two, but there is a possibility of reoccurrence of pain if we do not eliminated underlying causes.


Acute pain is also often caused by a mechanical reason, like an ordinary movement. For example, if a person bends over to pick up a small object from the floor but they had an injury from (lifting, twisting etc) the day before either at work or home then they could experience pains in the back as the muscles tense and contract to protect the spine from anymore straining. We can also overload the ties, vertebrae and intervertebral discs.

The most common causes for back pain are incorrect sitting and overburdening at not usual moves and exercises.
